Our founders

Puli Liyanagama

Founder

Puli is a three-time founder with two successful exits to King (Candy Crush) and Apple. With over 15 years of expertise in marketing technology, he has specialised in scaling platforms that serve billions of users. During his tenure at King and Apple, Puli led engineering teams to deliver innovative, cutting-edge solutions. Originally from Sri Lanka, he moved to the UK to pursue an MSc in Distributed Systems at Canterbury, where he met Phil, igniting their entrepreneurial journey. Puli also holds a PhD in Distributed Systems, with a focus on event-driven architectures.

Phil Mohr

Founder

Phil is a serial entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in mobile gaming. He began his career as the co-founder of Comufy, which was acquired by King.com in 2014. He later co-founded DataTiger, a data-driven marketing venture acquired by Apple in 2018. At Apple, Phil was instrumental in developing their customer engagement and subscription management platform, scaling its impact to over two billion devices worldwide. After three years at Apple, Phil co-founded Metica with Puli in 2022, focusing on optimising LTV through IAPs, rewarded ads, LiveOps, and UA. Phil, originally from Germany, holds a PhD in Machine Learning.

Justin Stolzenberg

Founder

Justin Stolzenberg is a seasoned entrepreneur and gaming industry veteran with over 22 years of experience. His career includes co-founding and scaling companies like Flaregames and Phoenix Games, where he served as CMO. Justin’s expertise lies in using analytics to grow monetisation and user acquisition, contributing to the success of hits like Shakes & Fidget, Nonstop Knight, Royal Revolt 2, and over 40 other games.
